Privacy policy
As of 4 November 2026 · Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP)
This is a translation. In case of differences, the German version applies.
In brief: This website sets no cookies, embeds no third-party analytics or advertising tools and loads no content from third parties. Fonts, styles and scripts come from my own server. I count page views with my own counter, but only if you agree in the privacy banner (see “Visit statistics”).

2. When you visit the website
When you open the website, your browser transmits technically necessary information to the server. It may be recorded in server logs:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- address requested and amount of data transferred
- browser type and operating system
- referring page, if your browser sends it
Purpose: secure operation and troubleshooting. I do not combine this information with other data and do not analyse it with regard to individual persons.
3. Hosting
The website runs on Microsoft Azure (Microsoft Corporation, registered office USA) in the Azure Container Apps service in the Switzerland North region. Microsoft processes the connection data (including the IP address) as a processor. Disclosure abroad, including to the USA, cannot be ruled out. Microsoft provides data protection guarantees in its contractual terms. The server logs are deleted automatically after 30 days.
4. Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies. For the visit statistics (section 5) I first ask for your consent in the privacy banner. In your browser’s local storage (localStorage) the website stores at most two entries. They stay on your device and are not transmitted:
bw_einwilligung: your choice in the privacy banner (“Reject” or “Accept”), with the date; valid for 365 days, after which the website asks againad_ansicht: your settings under «Display» (text size, contrast etc.), only if you change something there
Older entries (bw_hinweis, bw_zaehler_aus) from the previous version are no longer used. You can delete all entries at any time in your browser (clear site data). The banner then appears again.
5. Visit statistics (only with consent)
To see which pages are read, I count page views with my own counter, without any analytics provider such as Google Analytics. Counting only happens if you agree in the privacy banner. Before that and after “Reject”, your browser sends nothing to the counter; the website works just the same without consent.
The counter runs on Azure Container Apps (Microsoft) in the Switzerland North region at zaehler.main-skill.ch. With your consent, your browser sends the address of the page without parameters, on entry the name of the website you came from, the window width (immediately turned into “mobile”, “tablet” or “desktop”) and the browser language. If you arrive through a link with a campaign tag (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, e.g. from a newsletter or post), that tag is counted too. If you click an email address or a phone number, the counter records the click as a goal, without the address or number.
Only daily totals are stored. No cookies, no profile, no recognition; IP address and browser identifier are neither stored nor logged. Your browser only stores your decision (localStorage, 365 days); it is not transmitted. With “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” nothing is counted, even with consent.
The legal basis is your consent (Switzerland: Art. 6(6) FADP; where the GDPR applies: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Consent is voluntary.
Withdrawal: at any time via “Privacy settings” (also at the bottom of every page) or here:
From then on nothing is counted. Withdrawal applies for the future; the existing daily totals contain nothing that can be traced back to you.
6. Contact by email or phone
If you write to me or call me, I process your details (at least your email address or phone number and the content) to answer your enquiry and to prepare a contract. I keep the correspondence as long as it is needed for handling and possible follow-up questions and delete it afterwards, unless a statutory retention obligation applies.
The address info@main-skill.ch is handled by Gandi SAS in France. Gandi processes the content of your message as a processor. If you click an email link, your mail program opens; nothing is sent until you confirm it there.
7. Recipients and processors
- Microsoft Corporation, Azure: operation of the server and of the visit counter. Registered office USA, region Switzerland North.
- Gandi SAS: mailbox info@main-skill.ch. France.
The service providers act as processors on my instructions. I do not sell your data and do not pass it on for advertising. Beyond that, I only pass on data if I am legally obliged to do so.
8. External links
The website does not link to other websites, except the website of the FDPIC in section 10. If you click it, you leave this website; the privacy policy of the FDPIC applies there. Merely visiting this website does not contact any third-party servers.
9. Visitors from the EU and EEA
The website is aimed at business customers in Switzerland. If you are in the EU or EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may also be relevant to you; whether this is the case depends on the circumstances. You can in any case assert your rights with me (section 10) and lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority at your place of residence or registered office.
10. Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act you have the right:
- to request information about the data processed about you
- to have incorrect data corrected
- to request deletion, unless a retention obligation applies
- to request the release or transfer of your data
- to object to processing
An informal message to info@main-skill.ch is sufficient. To verify your request, I may ask for proof of your identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch).
11. Security
The website is delivered exclusively encrypted via HTTPS. The server sets a strict Content Security Policy and further security headers so that no third-party content or scripts are loaded.
12. Changes
I adapt this policy when the operation changes. The version published here applies.
13. Further information
